Your self-ride starts from Signal Hill and follows the tar road past Table Mountain towards Devil’s Peak, giving you time to familiarize yourself with the bike before hitting the more demanding terrain. The off-road section is down and undulating like a roller coaster on winding gravel roads as it winds its way around the front of Table Mountain towards Rhodes Memorial.
As we leave Table Mountain, a short stretch of single-track will lead you down to Newlands forest. Then the ride goes through the quiet and exclusive suburb of Bishopscourt, Kirstenbosch and back onto the beaten track of the Constantia Greenbelt before arriving at Tokai Forest – The Mecca of Mountain biking in Cape Town.
Tokai Forest is crisscrossed by gnarly single-track routes, a short detour to Fairy Garden and up on a jeep track reaching the contour trail leading to the Silvermine Nature Reserve. Breathless but elated, allow yourself time to take in the incredible views of the Cape Flats, False Bay and Cape Point.
From here, a short but challenging circular jeep track with a steep gradient will take you up to Noordhoek Peak (optional), before heading down toward Ou Kaapse Weg, finally reaching Noordhoek, home base of your overnight stop.
Overnight Noordhoek

Keep an eye out for wildlife such as ostriches, baboons and various species of antelope roaming freely in the reserve.
Last but not least, the Cape of Good Hope is the Southern West tip of Africa. Before cycling to Cape Point and the iconic lighthouse, a mesmerizing sight that has captivated travelers for centuries.

Any tour would be great but I’d say full days are the greatest. Going back to Cape Town I’d book everyday with him. Thank you Patrick for being amazing keep on being you as you are simply the best.

The views and impressions, but also the inside informations on the tour were very special and even though I had to realise I would not make it back to the cable car station (I was around 250 / 1500 altitude meters short…), I still loved every meter I rode.
Patrick was kind enough to go on on his self to get his car, after which he fetched me and brought me to my car.
In a nutshell: Patrick is a very nice and fit guy you enjoy being around with that knows the Cape very well. I can recommend booking him–should I be travelling to CT again, I will do so myself!asseeger
